I am a native speaker of French offering French classes from beginner level to advanced for all ages. My professional tutoring experience includes work I did with two little English speaking girls (7 and 5). Additionally, I have some informal tutoring experience with English speaking friends interested in learning French as well as with a fellow student when I was studying abroad in Vienna. Overall, I have mostly worked with beginners and people with a limited proficiency in French, but I feel confident I can help people who are at a more advanced level. I obtained my baccalauréat (French equivalent of the SAT) when I was 17 with a grade over 15/20 (the average is 10/20). French, literature and foreign languages were always among my favorite subjects in school (I also really enjoy social sciences, hence my political science degree). I would love to start tutoring again because I really enjoy interacting with students and finding new, creative ways to teach based on each student's needs. Furthermore, I have a lot of service experience, which helped me realize that working with people is something that I really enjoy and excel at. If, on top of that, I can help students learn my native language, I will feel very accomplished ! Indeed, I find intercultural communication both fascinating and deeply enriching. I think I can help students achieve their goals because I personally have worked hard to reach mine. For instance, I obtained a grade of 18/20 for my Master's Thesis, which qualified my work to be published by my university. Finally, the fact that I am a native speaker of French means that I know my subject extremely well, but I also speak English fluently which will facilitate my communication with students.
